TXOSNA CELEDONIANA NOCTÁMBULA

TXOSNA CELEDONIANA NOCTÁMBULA
A Txosna is a traditional Basque ephimeral community bar that aims to serve as shelter for minorities which might be endangered during local festivities. It consists of several platforms hung from Vitoria-Gasteiz’s four gothic bell-towers, referencing the peculiar event of “Celedon’s descent“. The Txosna falls over a fenced park in the heart of the medieval city centre.
With safety, inclusion and fun in mind, the space was distributed around the previously mentioned platforms. The varying heights of these during the night allow for diverse organizations creating an imaginary hierarchy between them. The intervention considers the entire park part of the project, regardless of the change it has received.
